India vs Pakistan – ICC Champions Trophy: Security increased after London attack

According to media reports, the security around the Indian cricket team and Pakistan cricket team hotels have been increased after the London terror attacks. India play Pakistan on Sunday in an ICC Champions Trophy 2017 match.

Ahead of the India-Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy 2017 match, the dark cloud of terrorism hovered over the much anticipated cricket match in Birmingham. This happens after a terror attack in London, which killed six people. (India vs Pakistan: Live updates)

According to media reports, the security around the team hotels have been increased and traffic has also been curbed for a while.\

However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have been informed that the teams are safe and are being provided full security.


Police said six people died and 20 were injured in the attacks in London, while police shot dead three suspects. The Metropolitan Police head of counter-terrorism, Mark Rowley, said police believe all of the attackers were killed, but investigations are underway to ensure there are no more.
